Weekend Fun and….

A New Camera!

It’s beautiful and perfect and everything I have been wanting! Thank you to all that chipped in on it for Christmas and a SPECIAL thank you to my dear husband who gifted the rest! So NO more blurry blog pictures!

Christopher actually had off all weekend which was a treat for me and Hallie! We LOVE having him home with us! She was so so happy all weekend!

Friday Night: My best friend Joyce came over to watch Gone Girl with us. I have been wanting to read it since I finished the book! It has been so good so far, but we pooped out early! Still have about 1/2 of the movie left!

Saturday Morning we got up and went to see Christopher’s new store (Yay Christopher!) We got to meet all of his employees, they all seemed really nice! After that we ran a bunch of errands, including picking out my pretty new camera!

When we got home, Hallie posed for me and I played with my new toy:

In the evening, Christopher’s sweet cousin Jennifer came over with her little guy Luke and dropped off Luke’s old High Chair for Hallie.  She has been such a blessing to us! And Hallie couldn’t love her more!


Sunday: Christopher had a morning meeting, so unfortunately we missed Church. I snuggled with baby and explored settings on my new camera:

When Hallie woke up she had breakfast in her new Highchair.

Then We got ready and when Christopher got home, we went for a visit at my parent’s house:

After my parent’s house, we ran some more errands, and then went over to our Sponsor Couple’s  (Mike and Judy sponsored us in our Catholic pre-marital counseling! Seriously the best thing we could have done) house for dinner. They are such warm and kind people! Hallie loved them!

And that was our weekend! This week we will be having a lot of play group fun! Can’t wait to share!

7 months of Hallie Anne!

Okay, this is getting out of hand you guys! Hallie cannot be 7 months, I just wont allow it! Please baby, please slow down and don’t grow up too fast! 

  • Age- 7 months! (No! It couldn’t possibly be 7 months yet!)
  • Weight-  12 lb. 11 oz! Not yet on the curve, but SOOOO close! 
  • Length- 26 inches! Still long and skinny
  • Size- Size 1 Diapers! Onesies- 3 month or 3-6 Months Ts!  Pants- the waist on the 3-6 month are too big, but the length on the 3’s are too small…LIMBO!  PJs Starting to bust out of 3 month, but 6 month are still a bit big! 
  • Eyes- Still blue! Yay!!! 
  • Hair- LIGHT brown! And finally starting to grow back some!
  • Sleeping- 10-12 hour stretches at night, starting to have some anxiety every few nights though…takes about 2 or 3 naps a day
  • Eating- 26 oz a day.  Veggies: Green beans (FAVE!) Carrots, Sweet Potatoes, Squash Fruits: Allergic to pears, hate Peaches, will eat: Berries, avocado, Apples, and prunes. Also loves oatmeal and CHICKEN! 
  • Milestones- Rolls both ways…everywhere! Sitting with no help!! Pulling up by herself and walking with help!  Still babbling a ton, and “singing” Still drooling and teething! Loves to shove anything in her mouth! Is still scooting, but getting so close to crawling! Seriously, any day now!Just before I posted this she crawled for the first time! Big girl! Expect a video tomorrow!
  •  Memorable outings- Playgroup, Christmas, Trip to Houston for Mrs. Sindi’s birthday.
  • Favorite toys/activities- The Exersaucer!! Still loves her turtle which we have named Dewy! The Taggie elephant and princess dolly she got for Christmas are her new favorites! Also: Puppets and loves books! A girl after my own heart! We read before bed every night! She got a Children’s Bible for her Baptism, and we always do that before bed with a prayer. Also loves the rhymes we do at story time! Particularly (Tick Tock,Horse named Ron and Patty Cake!) Loves to play with Stella.  DANCING! She loves to shake it! Especially with Daddy! She also really enjoys listening to music. WALKING with help! Seriously it makes her sooo happy! And she recently loves dressing up! Beads and shoes! 
  • Words/sounds- Imitating sounds a little. Singing “Ooh Ooh” especially in the car and I swear she tries to say: Hey, Mom and Dad..but I am probably crazy 
  • Nicknames- I call her sweet pea, peanut, peanut butter, sweet girl or Hal…Daddy likes to call her Daniel son when I put headbands on her…but other than that sticks to a generic sweetie or cutie!
  • Funny moments- Hallie has started sniffing! It is hilarious! She also sounds like she is hyperventilating when she gets excited! 
  • Looking forward to- savoring each and every moment! They are going too too fast! Also can’t wait to celebrate Valentines day with her! My sweet sweet girl!

New Moccs for the littlest Mock

Freshly Picked are those shoes! Boy if only Hallie knew how lucky she was! 


These shoes are incredible! They have a nice soft sole, so my crazy 7 month old baby who is trying to walk, can still feel the ground, They are firm enough to hold up to tough baby love, the elastic is right around the ankle so they stay on great, and Holy Cow aren’t they cute!? And they match EVERYTHING! See:
They also come in a ton of colors, so there is something for EVERYONE! I can’t wait to pick a new pair! I have to say, this is bad news for the Daddy at our house! lol This Mommy wants every single pair they come in! Especially the brand new pair that launched yesterday: Heirloom in Ivory and Chrome. Happy Tuesday!! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Ours was fairly low key! A little shopping, a lot of finally taking down and packing away Christmas until next year…which made me sad! Anyway, aside from finally taking down the Christmas decorations, here is what we have been up to:



Reading: I am actually between books!  I finished the Shopaholic, and I am thinking about reading Paper Towns, but I haven’t read many reviews…what are you all reading???


Watching:Parenthood’s final episodes! Is anyone else sad?! Big Bang Theory and PRETTY LITTLE LIARS! I know I am obsessed! 

Working on: Re-sleep training Hallie! Lately that night time separation anxiety has kicked in! She wakes up scared because she doesn’t see me. When I come to put her paci back in she smiles at me like it’s a game.  I’ll put it back in and leave the room and she’ll scream her head off! A few nights during the week are bad, but then some nights…like last night perfect! Any suggestions? 


Looking Forward to: Celebrating Hallie’s first Valentines Day! Making special Valentines for her playgroup friends, my homemade Valentines for family and friends, and of course my Linzer Cookies!!! Yum! 

Loving: My little girl to pieces!!! She is such fun! Every day with her is a new and wonderful adventure!

Freshly Picked: Bringing Home Baby Bundle

Any Freshly Picked fans out there?! Sindi’s Dirty 30

Happy Tuesday! This weekend we went to Houston to celebrate my friend Sindi’s 30th Birthday! My sweet mother in law was so nice to watch Hallie while we got to party! 
The Party was at Top Golf! It was super fun! I’m not a great golfer, but I am REALLY good at eating delicious food and drinking cocktails, which is what I did the majority of the time!

 We had such a wonderful weekend! Sindi and Justin were so sweet to let us stay! We also were so Blessed to get to spend some time with Christopher’s Mom! 

Even after all of the fun that we had, we were happy to get home to see our Pup! 

Must Have Monday- Valentines Day!

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a  FANTABULOUS weekend! We sure did! But more on that tomorrow!
For now it is Must Have Monday! All things Valentines Day! I am sure it is no shock to you that I love Holidays! Saying goodbye to Christmas is always the hardest! ( Just ask my husband, we still have our tree up…I just can’t seem to say goodbye this time) But emerging myself in planning and prepping for the next upcoming holiday makes it a little easier! 
I will be making my hand crafted Valentines for loved ones again this year, and be prepared for my yummy shortbread jam cookie recipe! Also, I have already been finding some of the cutest little outfits and books for Hallie!
So without further ado, I give you Hallie’s must haves for V-day!

1. The Day it Rained Hearts– This book is the sweetest thing! A little girl collecting raining hearts to make Valentines for all her friends! Too cute!
2. Lace Romper– I am such a fan of Etsy! While browsing I found these adorable rompers! I just had to snag one for our V-day photoshoot! 
3.Carters: My Heart Belongs to Daddy Pjs and Bib Set– Heart melting! This girl loves her daddy!
4. Carters Blue Heart Pjs– We actually already own these! They are some of my favorite Pjs of Hallie’s! Too cute!
5. Hug You Kiss You Love You board Book– We read this at Storytime and it might be the cutest little book ever! 
6. Old Navy Heart Dress– The sweet family I nanny for gave Hallie this little dress for Christmas and it will be absolutely perfect for Valentine week! I am so in love with it!
7. Gymboree Heart Dress- This is THE DRESS! Hallie will be sporting this Valentines Day and I just cannot wait!

Oh hey! It’s really Friday? Not that I am complaining! That just went REALLY fast! This week was just so up and down that I think it passed in a blur and left me utterly exhausted! 


This weekend should be fun though! We are heading out to Houston to celebrate my friend Sindi’s birthday! If you haven’t already checked out her blog, you can do so here!  We also get to see Christopher’s Mom, which is always great! We love and miss her so much!
