( Just ask my husband, we still have our tree up…I just can’t seem to say goodbye this time) But emerging myself in planning and prepping for the next upcoming holiday makes it a little easier!
I will be making my hand crafted Valentines for loved ones again this year, and be prepared for my yummy shortbread jam cookie recipe! Also, I have already been finding some of the cutest little outfits and books for Hallie!

eShakti Review

October 29, 2014

Good morning Momma’s! Who here feels different after having a baby raise your hand? (My hand is high in the air!)
It’s not that I still have a TON of weight to lose, but mostly that my clothes fit differently and I am not nearly as comfortable in them as I was.  I can go to the store and buy new clothes, but I never feel like I am one specific size.  Anyone else feel like that? I have long legs, big hips, no butt, and a small waist with leftover skin from where Hallie parked her cute little behind for 9 months!
So you’ll understand how OVER THE MOON I was to hear about eShakti!
eShakti is an online boutique where you can pick ANY dress, pants, shirt, skirt and customize it to fit your body perfectly! No, I’m not kidding! Need a hem a little longer? They can do it! Don’t like that neckline, fix it! Seriously it is the best thing ever! When I was approached to review one of their dresses I nearly exploded with excitement!
The ordering process was easy! (Aside from picking a style, there are so many great things to choose) It got here so quickly, and the best part…Check out the fit of this dress…it’s like it was specifically made for me! (OH WAIT, It was!)

And, want to hear some great news?! eShakti is offering my readers a 10% off coupon credit when they use the coupon code “happilyevermock” valid from 10/21/2014 – 11/21/2014 Perfect for buying a dress for the holidays!

You can always learn more about eShakti by visiting them on Facebook, Pinterest or Twitter!
I hope you check them out! They were a pleasure to work with!

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

October 27, 2014

Good morning friends! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! If you are an avid reader of my blog, than you know I made a huge change over the weekend! On Saturday I cut 8 inches off of my hair to donate in honor of my mother to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths.
If you haven’t read about my Mom’s journey, you can do so here: http://initforthelonghaulbarb.blogspot.com/

I knew when my parents sat me down a few month’s before my wedding and told me that my mother’s cancer had returned, that I wanted to donate my hair.  So I started growing it just a few months after our wedding and finally now, it was long enough! Thank goodness by the way, because this 4 month’s postpartum shed has been driving me insane! Momma’s, can I get an Amen?

I made an appointment with my stylist, Tiffany with Shears To You and My parent’s came with me to watch the change (okay, my Dad mainly came to hold the baby, he’s not a fan of the short hair thing!) But I was so happy to have my Mom there! It really meant a lot!

Here are the pictures of my transformation:

Before, can you tell my hair was in a pony? lol

Here’s the big cut!
Love Tiffany, girl cracks me up!
8 inches, gone!!!
Here is the finished look! I LOVE it! Thanks Tiffany!!!

Best picture of the day!(Which is why I saved it for last!) My Mom and I!

I know My mother is going through a rough and scary time, and I was so thankful that she came with me! If you would keep my Mother in your thoughts or prayers, we would be thankful! She starts the process of a new treatment tomorrow!
I love you Mom!

Mom Jeans

September 9, 2014

I know I have talked about this before, but I am still far from where I want to be losing my baby weight.  I was so excited when I came home from the hospital with only 12 lbs left to lose! And even more ecstatic when I stopped pumping and I only had 10 lbs to lose.  Well let me tell you something about those 10 lbs my friends! They have stuck to me like a pesky tick!
I have been working out several times a week and I cut out sodas…nothing! I told myself I wouldn’t buy my Fall wardrobe until I was a bit closer to where I want to be, preferably fitting back into my adorable pre-preggers Gap jeans, but I was just left feeling bad about myself…like a frumpy mom.
This is where the best husband in the world stepped in! Ladies be jealous! My loving husband came home from work last week with a gift card to Old Navy for me to get some transitional jeans. With the gift card and the great sales going on as well as a coupon from RetailMeNot (which if you haven’t already downloaded this app, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!) I was able to get 2 pairs of jeans, several shirts and a sweater! I paired them with some things from last season, some new Jamberry nails and VIOLA! A new Fall wardrobe for Mommy that leaves me feeling comfortable and confident!

Here are some of the outfits I have put together and cannot wait to wear!

Must Have Monday-Back to School

August 18, 2014

Sorry I have been MIA fellow bloggers! We have had some unfortunate happenings lately…the most unfortunate being the loss of my beloved grandmother, Nana.  I will later write a post telling you all about her and how much she will be missed, however, it is…

 MUST HAVE MONDAY!

This coming Monday, my little girls will be going back to school! This is actually the first year that I won’t be going back myself, which is exciting, however I will miss my favorite thing ever….BUYING SCHOOL SUPPLIES!

For this Must Have Monday, I thought I would share some of the items that help keep me organized as a busy Mommy and Nanny!

Do It All Planner from Orange Circle Studio

My first and probably most important organizational tool is my CANT LIVE WITHOUT planner! I love this planer because it has a grid with large boxes for me to fill in what is planned for me and the members of my family for each day of the week.  I can keep my personal life, work, and Hallie and Christopher’s schedules all in one place and my planner isn’t a huge mess! Also I can color code it, which is huge for me as you can see!

A day in my life last Fall

Prepping for back to school this year!

You can find the Do It All Planner, here!
Coach Peyton Diaper Bag
I am IN LOVE with my diaper bag! It isn’t a brand new Coach, but I had to have this one because it had my signature color (PURPLE) on it, and it has LOTS and LOTS of pockets! It is perfect for a Mom/Nanny to keep each kids things organized!

I found it on Ebay and had a friend check with her buddy who works for Coach to make sure it was authentic and Christopher bought it for my birthday about a month before Hallie was born! (for almost 1/2 off the price of a brand new one, might I add! This one is still for sale on Ebay here!

Thermos Intak Water Bottle
My last favorite tool, isn’t quite an organizational tool, but PERFECT for the busy Mom/Nanny on the go, is the Thermos Intak Water bottle.  I have a hard time remembering to drink water, but this little baby is soo helpful with that! It has a dial under the lid that keeps track of how many times you have filled up the bottle during the day.  It was also great when I was nursing! You can find these amazing water bottles here!
I hope everyone had a great weekend! Is everyone done preparing for back to school? What are some of your favorite back to school or organizational tools?
Let me know!

Must Have Monday: Infant Fashion

August 12, 2014

Today was my first day back at work, and I am super super exhausted, but I promise to update a little on that later in the week!

For now, It is Must Have Monday and I thought I would share some of our favorite recent outfits of Hallie’s!

This first outfit I just love on her because of the color! This royal blue really brings out her eyes which I swear are getting bluer and bluer by the day.  This is an adorable Carter’s outfit, which I believe is no longer available, but here is a similar one.

Here is the sweet outfit that Hallie sported to our little BBQ yesterday,  It’s a denim jumper with a cute hot pink flower and matching sweater, so Sweet.  You can find it on sale here!

This is by far the outfit I am most obsessed with right now! This is the adorable Puppy Dress that Hallie wore to her first time at Church over the weekend! It is so sweet and can be found here.We hope everyone had a fabulous Monday! Will update about our first day back soon!!!
