Now of course I want all of the things in that song…especially the part about no more lives torn apart, that one is especially hitting home this Holiday season. However I thought it would be fun to create a little wish list for under the tree.

She has done it again! Mrs Larissa at Purple Moments Photography captured some of the sweetest photos of my Hallie girl last week! Take a look!

We have joined the Elf on the Shelf craze! Hallie’s Memi got her one for Christmas last year, and we named her Jovie and tucked her away until we unpacked the tree this year! Since then she has been having so much fun! At first I wasn’t sure if Hallie would understand yet and get excited to find her everyday, but she totally does! If I say: “Want to go find Jovie?” she jumps up and grabs my hand to set off to look for her! Here are some spots Jovie has been so far:

The first day Jovie came, she went straight to Hallie’s room! She wanted to say good morning as soon as Hallie woke up!

She’s made a cozy sleeping bag out of Hallie’s stocking!

Jovie LOVES to dance the Nutcracker!

She has reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas

One morning, we found her just “Hanging out”

This day she was getting ready for a date with Buddy, Cleo and Sadie’s elf! In case you didn’t know, they are an item!

This day she brought Hot Cocoa

She reminded us that Believing is seeing and not the other way around!

This day she brought Hallie new Christmas Pjs!

And today she left Hallie a message on the fridge! Hallie almost ALWAYS giggles when she finds her and exclaims “Silly Jovie!” It’s the cutest!  We can’t wait to see what fun she has in store for us the rest of the month! What have your elves been up to? <3 Kelly

We trimmed our Tree over Thanksgiving Break and Hallie is in love! She likes to walk up to the tree with her hands behind her back and sniff it! Apparently even artificial trees smell good to her! I can’t believe how good she has been about having her hands behind her back when she walks near the tree! I am thankful not to have to put a baby gate around it! That being said we definitely still have one around the fireplace….

I just love this time of year, and I think Hallie is a jolly little elf just like her Momma! She gets so excited when she sees anything Christmasy or hears Christmas music! She exclaims “Ho Ho Ho!” Anyway, I hope you enjoy our decorating photos!

One of my absolute favorite things about Thanksgiving, is a tradition my sister and I started several years back.  The night before Thanksgiving, we hold a Friendsgiving Marathon! It started as just the 2 of us and has grown through the years to include our cousins, friends, my husband and Hallie…she comes for the food! 🙂


So here is your guide to hosting your own Friendsgiving! 


1. Order a ton of food! This year we are going with Chinese! 


2. Gather Seasons 1 and 3-10 of Friends! (I KNOW! No season 2 episode!)

Happy Monday! Thanksgiving is this week!? Can you believe it?!!! We have a lot of fun things planned this week! Our decorations go up tonight and Jovie the elf made her appearance yesterday! I am one of those people that tries to make the holidays last as long as possible! With the Elf watching Hallie already, I thought I would share Hallie’s Christmas list in hopes that Jovie is kind enough to report back to Santa!

1. I can’t wait to see Hal’s face when she gets this kitchen! She might not open anything else!!!
2. This dollhouse is a retired Pottery Barn one that I found for $20 at a garage sale, and My mom, my mother in law and I have some BIG special restorations plans for it!
5. Christopher and I decided that a craft corner was in order for Hallie since her new favorite thing to do is color! It will also be a nice place for her to eat snacks and do other crafts and learning activities!
7. For more book and other ideas we have a WHOLE amazon wish list dedicated to Miss Hallie that you can check out here!
8. Clothes and PJs we are buying in Size 9 month or 12 month depending on the store and style of clothing! Kid has long legs and needs some length but a teeny tiny waist!
