Fort Worth Botanical Gardens

March 16, 2015

Happy Monday all! We had a VERY busy weekend! One of Christopher’s friends got married this weekend in Fort Worth at the Botanical Garden’s and Hallie and I kept busy taking so many beautiful photos while daddy was busy being a groomsman!
Friday we went into the conservatory before the rehearsal. It was so beautiful!
This was the first photo we took! We didn’t realize how foggy my lens got when we walked in! It was so humid!

After the conservatory and the rehearsal/ dinner we drove home to get some sleep. Then we were back in Fort Worth the next morning bright and early. Daddy went off to do his groomsman duties and Hallie and I went with one of the other wives to do some shopping and have lunch!

Of course I held Hallie the whole time during the wedding, so I have no photos, but I took plenty of Hallie in the gardens after the ceremony! There was a funny moment during the ceremony when it was really quiet, but Hallie saw her Daddy standing up at the front. She started waving her arms frantically and yelled “Dada!” at the top of her lungs…oops! lol!

My goofy girl!
All in all it was a pretty good weekend! What did everyone else do over the weekend?

Oh hey, Friday! Pics from the week!

March 13, 2015

Sorry I have been a bit MIA this week! My kids at work have been on Spring Break, and I have been soaking up the extra time on my hands this week by doing a whole lot of nothing! It has been so nice to just hang out with the baby and not have to worry about getting in the car by 2:20pm every day to rush to school! But I have missed my girlies for sure and can’t wait to see them on Monday!!!
Here are (some) of my favorite pics from our week at home!

Hallie playing with the trains with “cousin” Brayden at the mall!

 2. Eating Brayden’s Nonna’s spaghetti! Hallie loved it soo much, she ate 2 bowls full! Not those bowls lol baby bowls! But still!!!

 3. Looking pretty in her new outfit from Auntie Anna and her pretty moccs!

4. Playing with Mommy!

5. Hallie hanging out in her sweats! We went on a walk yesterday with another Mom from our playgroup! It was so nice…although OMG this Momma is out of shape!!!

Daddy is in a wedding this weekend, so we will be busy with wedding events! Hallie has a pretty new dress picked out!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Britt and Brooklyn

March 10, 2015

I love shopping for Hallie’s clothes! It is way more fun shopping for cute little girl clothes than it is for myself! And absolutely without a doubt I have a favorite clothing item in Hallie’s closet. It is her donut skirt! It’s pretty downright adorable  right?
Want to know where I got it? Etsy! At a little shop called Britt and Brooklyn. Now I am obsessed! My favorite thing about shopping on Etsy is I have a slimmer chance of going to a park or the grocery store and seeing another kid in the same outfit as my daughter! They are not massed produced, so I know that each item is sewn together with care.  And that definitely rings true with the owner, Brittany of Britt and Brooklyn.  The skirts we’ve received are flawless!
Another amazing thing about this shop is, there are SO many designs to choose from! So if you are like me, you can buy your super girly prints, but, I was also able to find a Wonder Woman skirt for Hallie’s little friend Luna who just turned one!

From floral prints, to super heroes, from funky patterns to your favorite TV shows this shop has a skirt for everyone! And it is so hard not to buy up every item, because unlike a lot of Etsy shops, her prices are incredibly reasonable! Many of the items in her shop are under $15.00! Talk about a steal!

Now if she only made these skirts in my size!

Now, want to hear the best news?? Brittany was so kind to create a special code for my readers! Head over to her shop and use the coupon code “happilyevermock”  for 20% off of your purchase!
I just snagged these 2 skirts and only paid about $20.00! With spring coming up, you can’t beat that!

So thank you Brittany for letting my share your amazing shop with my friends! We can’t wait for more of your amazing products!!!
Enjoy friends!

March 6, 2015

Linking up today with September Farm

Oh yay! Friday! This week has had its ups and downs.  The snow day was a plus, but we just can’t seem to get healthy around here! Every time we get over something, one of us seems to catch something else! On tap for today…making a Dr appointment for our little peanut! Mommy needs to go too, but I’m going to stick it out until Monday so I can take Hallie! Luckily this weekend is full of time to relax!

For our Pics from the week: Snow Day Pics:

Sock attack and Snow

March 5, 2015

Oh what a strange title…and oh yes, what a strange child! She must get it from her Dad…(Love you Honey!)

Last night we were watching American Idol, and after Hallie clapped for the first time EVER! Daddy had to take a phone call! So, what did Hallie fill her time doing…

She is just too much! I had to grab my phone immediately (excuse the video quality) and document the last minute of this 5 minute war against her sock! I think she won! There is some definite teething going on folks!!

Other exciting new from last night…SNOW! Real powdery snow! At least an inch of that stuff! Schools are canceled today and I fully intend to bundle Hallie up later to take some pictures in it, so stay tuned!!

Hope everyone is enjoying their week!

Houston Friends

March 3, 2015

Over the weekend Hallie, her Tia Joyce (AKA my best friend) and Mommy piled in the car and took a much needed trip to the Galveston area to visit our GREAT friends, the Donahoes! Callie, Joyce and I all went to high school together, and it is so amazing to me after 10 years we have stayed such close friends! (Yes, I know I am officially old! 10 years since High School….GASP!)

Callie and her family just built a new house, and we hadn’t seen it yet, so it was such a fun trip!
When we got their Friday afternoon, the kiddos played!!

Aiden and Hallie (Aiden was my ring bearer when I got married)

Isn’t Callie just the cutest! Joyce and I each got a treat on our beds!
Hallie became fast friends with Chloe…I think she missed Stella!
Easton and Hallie
The best picture I could get of all 3 kiddos!
Then we had a dance party! Happy and I’m Elmo and I know it (If you haven’t seen this Elmo video you MUST watch it, so funny!)
Easton Especially loved Elmo!

Sweet Aiden couldn’t get enough hugs from Miss Hallie!

After dinner and putting (most of ) the kids to bed, the Girls headed to Seabrook Waffle Co,

I got the “Dough Eyed” Nutella, icecream, and chocolate chips…so good!

The next morning we went to Aiden’s Basketball game!

Naturally they won! Something about extra cheerleaders I guess!
After the game, Cash (Callie’s husband), Tia Joyce and Aiden practiced their skills!
Best Tia in the world!

After the game, we headed back to the house for some playtime

Hallie still obsessed with Chloe

After naps and Lunch we went Strawberry picking at a local farm! It looked fun, but since it was a bit chilly, Hallie and I let everyone else do the work and we stayed inside where it was warm after snapping a few pictures! (Bad Mom award…I totally forgot little Miss’s hat!)

Oh Easton, could you be any cuter?

When we got home, the kids played while Mr Cash grilled up some burgers!

And of course there was another Dance Party!

After dinner, the kiddos went to bed and we enjoyed some grown up conversation and of course our favorite Teen show…PLL! Of course!

For breakfast, Callie and Cash made pancakes! Aiden enjoyed the fruits of his labor on his (See what I did there!?)

After breakfast the kiddos played for a while

Excuse my icky hair….but I needed a picture with all of the cute kiddos!

Before long it was time to say goodbye to the Donahoes because they had Church

Hallie got some last minute Chloe snuggles
I left a funny inside joke for Callie to discover the next time she bathed the kiddos!
Then we headed home…
Not before stopping and having lunch with Hallie’s amazing Memi!

Hope everyone else had a great weekend!
